Child
I am the mother of Maerjo Topi asking the questions of the Adopt a Child team while they are registering my son in the sponsorship program.
Maerjo is 4 years old and his birthday is on July 19th. He is doing well and is in good health. Maerjo is a very happy child. He likes to see new things and loves to color and draw. The color he prefers to use the most during coloring is blue. Maerjo started to frequent on September the kindergarten. I walk him every morning and go to take him from kindergarten at midday. He enjoys going to kindergarten, playing with the toys they have there and learning from the staff of teachers poems by heart, songs and a little about reading, writing and counting. As soon as Maerjo is in the house, he likes to play outside and does lots of running. When he goes inside, he watches cartoons and plays with his few car toys that we have been able to buy for him. I care for him a lot during the day and from time to time. I take him for walks during the evenings or weekends. We live in a village very close to the town and visit the town often, so when we take walks by the lake, he plays in the parks and enjoys his time. In the way, he likes for me to buy to him ice cream or other candies.
Speaking about our family situation. I returned to live in my origine family recently. This was because my husband, the father of Maerjo passed away while he was working in Greece. He died very young and suddenly form a heart attack. It was a challenge to bring his body from Greece so that we could do his funeral. He was a hard working person and provided well for me and my son. We were living there also when he was working and providing for us. After he died, I have return to live with my family here in Albania so that I can have their support to raise my son in better conditions of living and in order for him to have good education. I heard about the sponsorship program of the Living Water church in Pogradec and started to follow the Sunday services. After following the services for a few months, the team has asked me to come and register my son Maerojo so that I can get a bit more of help and support coming from the Adopt a Child.
My son Maerjo and I are thankful to the pastor of the church as well as to Adopt a Child for staying close to us during these hardships. God bless you in abondance.
