Child
Hello! My name is Amelja. I am 3 years old and my birthday is in June. I am happy to share with you about myself and my family through the questions that the team of Adopt a Child is asking me. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is yellow, and I desire to become a teacher. I go to kindergarten here in the village and enjoy learning new things and playing with toys and dolls with my classmates. We learn poems by heart and do lots of singing and dancing. After the lesson hour, our teacher takes us outside to spend time playing in nature. We also take short distance walks. I spend the first part of my day at kindergarten and at midday, my mother comes to walk me home. After I eat lunch, I like to go outside and play with my friends and cousins who live near my house. We meet to play in the roads and our games are simple. During the day, while I am inside the house, I like to draw and color and I also spend time playing with dolls. I ask my parents to buy for me different dolls from time to time because I love playing with them. I live in a village near the town of Prrenjas. We have easy access to it. We go there either for shopping or whenever my parents have other things to do there. My family contains four members, who are my parents, older brother and I. My father works in Greece to provide for our family. He is hired to work in construction and he provides for us mostly all needed for living. We own land in the village and when my father is home, he plants quite a whole lot so that we can have food provision for our cow. My mother feeds the cow in the fields during this season. She also has planted the vegetable garden we have close to our house and constantly waters the vegetables till they are ready to consume. My brother has started school and he is also in the program. After he studies and does his homework of school, we spend time playing together and he cares for me so that my mother can do other things in the house. We are not considered too poor, even though, we are living with low income and the job that my father does in Greece is not something constant. Sometimes he is not asked to go there to work and we remain challenged financially. I frequent the Bible classes of the program and receive constant help and support, spiritually and physically. I am happy to receive the food packages at the program and in the same time, I am happy to learn in the Bible classes about God. Thank you from my heart for your care and generosity. May God reward you richly!
