My Story

Hello! My name is Zao. I am happy to share about myself, asking the questions of the Adopt a Child team while they register me. I am 3 years old and my birthday is in September. I am doing well and my health is good. My favorite color is blue and my future dream is to become police. I like to spend time during the day riding the bicycle in the road that is close to my house. The days are warm and we have no rain so I am happy to be outside and cycle. I have other toys that I use to play with and while I play, my older brother watches me and cares for me. I started going to kindergarten I have made new friends from my classmates of kindergarten and we play sharing our toys. My brother or mother take me from kindergarten and when we have the days to attend the Bible classes of the program, I go there with my brother. I enjoy learning about the Lord, singing songs with the other children and playing afterwards or doing drawings and crafts. I enjoy very much all the activities that the program organizes for us, especially during the summer. I live in a village near the town of Prrenjas. We go to this town very often, especially during the weekends, when they have the open market day. Our house is in the village and offers good conditions for us. I have four members in my family who are my father, mother and older brother. My father works in the village or in the town if there is an opportunity of being hired. Sometimes he works in the lands of the people who own them and is hired to plant or collect crops or fruits. Other times, he gets hired for people while they do repairs in their houses. Most of the time, my father cannot find a job and for this reason, we are in hardship financially. We own land, but my parents are not dealing with farming, since it is very less beneficial. My mother has started to plant our vegetable garden and at present she is busy while they need to be watered almost daily. Soon, the vegetables will grow and we will consume them, after picking them straight from the garden. Being in poverty, we are thankful to the program of Adopt a Child for the food that is provided for us. My brother and I receive food boxes constantly and the food is cooked in the house. We go to the Bible classes and to the activities of the program and enjoy our time there. Thank you from my heart for the spiritual and physical care offered to me. God bless you!
