My Story

Hello! My name is Rei. I am 3 years old and my birthday is on June. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is red and my future dream is to become police officer. I enjoy drawing and coloring and I also enjoy playing with motorbike-toys and other toys. I spend time during the day playing with my older sister while we are both inside the house. I go to preschool kindergarten where I spend the first part of my day. I enjoy my time there together with my friends who frequent. We take lessons to read and write and afterwards we spend a lot of time doing games and other activities that I enjoy being part of. I come from kindergarten at midday and like to spend some time to play outside with my sister. When we play outside our mother always keeps an eye on us. After playing outside, I go inside, I like to color, draw and watch cartoons on television. I live in a village not very far from the town of Prrenjas. My family contains six members who are my grandfather, aunt, parents, sister and I. Our house is a small village one, still offering good conditions to us. My grandfather and aunt are living with us in our house. My grandfather is retired. He gives his pension to my parents who supply his living. My aunt is still not married and lives in our house. Even that my parents own land, they have quit dealing with farming. My mother and aunt have started planting our vegetable garden and during these months, they need a lot of water till they grow and are ready to consume. My father sold the cow, and this is because my mother is too busy during the day and he also goes seasonally to work in Northern Macedonia. Same as every year, my father goes to Northern Macedonia. He went there this year to work for three months and was hired in construction. He is offered different jobs to do there and he works seasonally. He provides income for our family, without being challenged to deal with farming. We are not very poor, even though the income that my father earns is less. I am very thankful to the program for the spiritual and physical help. My sister and I receive food packages constantly. We frequent the Bible classes and the activities of the program where we learn about the Lord. Every year, we also go to the dentist, who does a check on our teeth for free, and this is a blessing that is offered to us from the sponsorship program.
