My Story

Hello! My name is Rei Malo. I am 3 years old and my birthday is on June. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is red and my future dream is to become medical doctor. I enjoy drawing and coloring and I also enjoy playing with motorbike-toys and other toys. I spend time during the day playing with my older sister while we are both inside the house. I go to preschool kindergarten where I spend the first part of my day. I enjoy my time there together with my friends who frequent. We take lessons to read and write and afterwards we spend a lot of time doing games and other activities that I enjoy being part of. I come from kindergarten at midday and like to spend some time to play outside with my sister. When we play outside our mother always keeps an eye on us. After playing outside, I go inside, I like to color, draw and watch cartoons on television. I live in a village not very far from the town of Prrenjas. My family contains six persons. My grandfather and aunt are living with us in our house. I have my father, mother as well as an older sister. She is registered also in the sponsorship program and we go to the Bible classes together. My parents own land in the village and deal with agriculture. They plant vegetables for consumption in our garden and in another portion of land they plant what is needed as food for our cow. We have a cow that my grandfather feeds during the day. Every year my father sells a calf delivered, so keeping a cow is beneficial. My mother and aunt are planting vegetables in the garden and we consume these products without buying them in the shops. Agriculture is very less profitable and my father has also gone to work constantly in Northern Macedonia. He goes to work and comes within the same day, since this country is very near to our village. My father works as hired doing different jobs as construction, agriculture, etc. My grandfather receives a small village pension. My mother cares for his needs during the day. My mother is busy all day doing cooking, cleaning as well as carrying for my brother and me. We are happy that our aunt is with us in the house to help my mother some with all needed to be done within the day. We are not considered as too poor, even though, we face financial hardships and are challenged in many ways. I frequent the sponsorship program of Adopt a Child. I receive food packages constantly from the program and follow all the activities that we have during the week, organized by the church. I am thankful to the program for the physical and spiritual care that is offered. Thank you very much for your care to me and God bless you!
