My name is Santos Alexander Leonardo. I am 15 years old and I live along with my parents and siblings. I attend 9th grade and I am receiving face-to-face classes all week. I give my homework to the teacher on the date that he assigns me. Fortunately, I am doing well in my studies. Besides my homework, I help with some work at home and I also look after a cow. My father continues working as a “cargador” (carrying goods for people) in the market in Guatemala City. He works farming the land when he is at home. My mother does the chores at home, and she also raises hens for selling to help my father with the income.
Unfortunately, my father run out of work due to the covid-19 pandemic, and we went through difficult times because we had no money to buy our food. We were hungry for a time. Thanks to God´s faithfulness and mercy, we received support from kind neighbors. Moreover, we have been receiving grocery bags as support from Living Water / Adopt A Child. We are sure that God is watching over us all the time and put kind people around us who help us to go ahead little by little. Let me tell you that the help arrived at the right moment because my father did not have resources to supply our needs. We are so blessed to be part of the program. Thank you very much for your love and support to my family. We send many greetings and pray that our Lord blesses you wherever you go. Thank God, we are healthy and the covid-19 has not affected us. We attend Catholic Church on Tuesday. I want to let you know that an evangelism teacher of LW called my mother, Elvira Morente by phone to get this updated information since the feeding program is still closed due to the pandemic. I leave you for now. Many blessings!
In Jesus name,
Santos Alexander Leonardo Garcia Morente
