I feel so happy to share with you a little about me. I am Maylin Amelia Lopez Garcia and I am twelve years old. I am attending school and I am in the sixth grade. I am receiving my classes in the mornings two days per week and I am receiving my homework by whatsapp. The new study method is not the same and when I have doubts I ask my relatives or I search on the internet. I deliver my homework the same days that I go to school. My father is still working in the United States and he has been there for about four years ago. He is working as a gardener but he supports us with a little money. My mother works in a sale of second hand clothes and helps a lady to sell ¨granizadas¨ shaved ice with fruit flavor. The covid-19 situation has affected us in our economy because my mother worked selling homemade snacks at school but she did not continue due to the pandemic and she did not have a job for about seven months.
Fortunately, we received groceries bags and it was a great support for us because when we did not have enough money, we could receive the blessing from God through the feeding program. My mother and I thank Living Water for all the support that they have given us. God has blessed us with many favors. We hope that He continues blessing all who contributes to this program. Thank God, we are healthy and we have not gotten infected by the covid-19 virus. We are attending Christian Church every Saturday. Let me tell you that one of the AAC-team called my mother and she was the one who gave this update information about me; it was by phone since the feeding program is closed due to the situation that we are living in. May God bless you always!
Lots of hugs,
Maylin Amelia Lopez Garcia
