My Story

Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you, hoping you are doing fine and enjoying the blessings of God in your life. I want to share some news with you about my family and me. I am Andy De La Cruz Gutierrez and I am 9 years old. I want to let you know that we are not attending any Church. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with my mother and grandmother, but they have not taken the decision to attend the church yet. This year I am in 3rd grade at school and I am receiving face-to-face classes every day. I prefer this study method because I am learning a lot. Nowadays, my mother is making an effort to support me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that she does not have a stable job. Sometimes, it is so difficult for her to buy my school supplies. My favorite celebration of the year is Easter because our custom is to eat bread. “Atol de maiz” is my favorite beverage (a hot drink made of corn flour). Among sports, I prefer soccer. I do not celebrate my birthday due to a lack of financial resources. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Santos De La Cruz Gutierrez. She is 37 years old. At the moment, she is earning a living by working with some neighbors. She is making tortillas and herding sheep in spite of her speech problems; she is the only one that supports us economically. Currently, we continue living in our maternal grandparent`s house. They shared the house and expenses with us. My grandfather`s name is Nazario De La Cruz Riz and my grandmother`s name is Catarina De La Cruz. My grandfather works as a farmer and my grandmother is a housewife. We grow corn for our family`s consumption, but sometimes it is not enough. We are a humble family, so our current needs are corn, groceries, and clothes. We are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through LW Adopt-A-Child in December. Thank you for reading my letter.  May God take care of you everywhere you are!

Kisses and hugs,

Andy De La Cruz Gutierrez
