My Story

Hello! I wish you a brilliant day hoping you are blessed by our Lord Jesus. I am Brenda Marisol Garcia Ajqui. I am 14 years old and through this letter, I want to share a little about my family and me. My mother`s name is Andrea Ajqui Chic. She is 28 years old. Currently, she continues doing chores at home. In addition, she is raising hens, and sheep to sell and gets some income. My father`s name is Ramiro Garcia de la Cruz and he is 35 years old. Nowadays, he earns a living by transporting people to other places every Sunday and Thursday. We grow corn for our family`s consumption. Our current needs are corn and groceries. Thankfully, we continue attending Prince of Peace Church every Wednesday. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words during the visit to my mother, who is sure of her salvation in Jesus. By the grace of God, all my family and I are in good health.

This year I am in 4^th grade at school.  I am receiving face-to-face classes every day. I prefer this study method because I learn a lot about the subjects. My parents strive to support my siblings and me at school. Nowadays, school fees are expensive, and sometimes it is difficult to cover all expenses due to a lack of stable jobs. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn English; I think this is an interesting language. My favorite celebration of the year is “Independence Day” (here in Guatemala we celebrate it on September 15 with many school parades in the streets). What I like for my birthday is to eat fried chicken and French fries for lunch. Among sports, I prefer soccer. We are grateful to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at the end of the year.
