My Story

Hello! This is Esli Israel Chich Morente, and I am writing to tell you about my family and me. I will start talking about my family. Currently, we are members of Church of Christ, and we attend services twice a week. We believe God is love and we have accepted Him in our hearts. We have been encouraged by LW Evangelism team and we are grateful for that. I do not live with my parents because my father is dead, and my mother established another family; she does not help me financially.  I am under the care of my sister and her husband. My sister’s name is Rafaela Morente, and she is 32 years old. She works as a weaver and helps with the home income. My brother-in-law’s name is David Gutierrez, and he is 31 years old. He works as a day laborer and does his best to support the family. Thankfully, they both are in good health. We are a humble family, and our greatest needs are food and clothes. We have hens at home, and we harvest corn, black beans and peaches for our consumption.

Now let me tell you a little about me. I am 12 years old, and I am healthy. I am repeating fourth grade, and I am happy to receive face-to-face classes because I learn more. It has been difficult for my sister to cover my school expenses. I would like to become an engineer and work in a big farm in the future. I love summer and our Independence Day. The weather in summer is perfect, and there are many activities in my school for Independence Day. My favorite drink is pineapple juice, and I enjoy playing soccer. I like my birthday because my family prepares a special dinner. Quiche dialect is my first language, so I want to improve my Spanish. Living Water is very important in my life because I am supported with delicious meals and medicine. I hope you find my letter interesting.

All the best
