I am so glad to greet you in this opportunity. My name is Carlos Amilcar. I am 15 years old and I attend 6th grade. I receive virtual classes because my teacher is not able to come to the village. I give my homework to my teacher when he asks for it. For me, it is very difficult to study because it is very complicated to buy the internet data that I need to receive my classes due to the lack of resources. Sadly, I do not have my father´s support because he abandoned us a couple years ago. Unfortunately, our house needs some repairs, and it is very complicated for my mother to do it because she does not have resources. My mother is a housewife and raises domestic animals for selling to get income. My brother Alfredo helps us with some money, but it is only once in a while.
The covid-19 pandemic came to affect my family in the economic area due to lack of work in the village. Fortunately, we could go ahead with the job that my brother Alfredo found, and we reduced the expenses at home. Among all the difficulties, we have seen God´s faithfulness in our lives. My family and I are so grateful for the grocery bags that Living Water/ Adopt A Child has been providing for us during this pandemic situation. The groceries have been a great blessing for us because they helped us to have food for a time were a savings for my mother. Thank you very much for all the support that we are receiving from you through LW. We pray to God asking for many blessings on your life. Fortunately, we are healthy and the coronavirus has not affected us so far. At the moment, we are not attending any church. This time a LW member encouraged us to look for a church and seek God. I want to let you know that a collaborator of LW called my mother, Petrona Garcia by phone to get this updated information since the feeding program is still closed due to the pandemic. I say goodbye to you for now and I hope to hear from you soon. Every blessing for you!
Hugs with much love,
Carlos Amilcar Ruiz Garcia
