My Story

Dear Sponsor,

Hello! How are you? I send you many greetings and I hope you are doing well. Thank God, I am healthy as well as my whole family. I want to tell you that I am in fifth grade this year and I am doing well at school. My favorite subject is Quiche language. During recess, my friends and I play tag and we have a lot of fun together. I am studying hard because I want to graduate as a teacher in the future and help many children. I take advantage of my free time to improve my reading. After classes, I help my mother with the household chores and do my homework. It is a great joy for me to celebrate Mother’s Day because we recognize the effort that mothers make inside and outside of their homes. It is a very special date for me. Sometimes, my parents celebrate my birthday with a special service at home and give a delicious plate of food to our church brethren.  I enjoy these moments.

I am living with my parents and there are six children in the family.  None of us is married. I am the only one who is attending school. My three older siblings are working and helping with the home income. My other two siblings are young and stay at home. My mother is a housewife, and she has a small business where she sells French fries, typical snacks and grilled meat with tortillas in the afternoons. My father works as a truck driver for a hardware store. My family and I attend a Pentecostal Church and I love singing praises. We all pray when we are passing through health issues or personal problems. We also ask for prayers from our pastor. Please keep my family and me in your prayers. I thank you for all the support that you have given to Living Water. I say goodbye to you for now wishing you many blessings and success in everything you do.

With much love

Veronica Abigail De La Cruz Garcia
