My Story

Hello! This is your sponsored child Lesbia Yuliza Morales Garcia. I am writing to tell you about my life and family. We believe in God and are assured of our Salvation. We are members of a Methodist Church, and we attend services on Tuesday and Friday. As family, we grow corn for our consumption, and we raise hens, turkeys and pigs for selling when we need money. My parents do their best to cover the home expenses, but we are still in need of groceries like corn. My father is healthy, and he works as a day laborer and farmer; he is 38 years old. My mother is healthy too, and she works hard at home; she is 37 years old. Living Water and you are very important for me, and I give you thanks for blessing me with delicious lunches and medicine.

Now, I want to tell you about me. I am in good health, and I like practicing soccer. I am 9 years old, and my family does not have the custom to celebrate my birthday. I am repeating 1^st grade again, and I prefer face-to-face classes because it is easier to do my homework. It has been difficult for my parents to cover my school supplies. I dream to travel to the United States when I am older in order to win my own money. I love Christmas time because I can share with my family. My favorite drinks are sodas, water and “mosh” (hot beverage made from oats). Well, I end my letter hoping to have another opportunity to greet you. May God bless you!
