My Story

It is a pleasure to share news about my family and me; God bless you greatly! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Methodist Church; we go twice per week. We trust in God, and my mother has already accepted Jesus in her heart. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health. My mother is Amanda Veronica Aguilar Chingo, and she is 29 years old. She stays busy with the duties at home and watching over my siblings and me. My father is Israel Perez Gonzalez, and he is 32 years old. He makes a living by driving a tuk-tuk around Zacualpa, and he works all week. We do not have space to raise animals or grow anything.

I am Juana Cristina Perez Aguilar, and my current age is 12 years old. I am a fifth-grade student; I receive classes at school, and it is better for me because I comprehend the lesson when my teacher is explaining. Supporting me at school is hard for my father who is the only one who works. Moreover, he has to cover the home expenses and he does not earn very much. When I grow up, I would like to study to become a teacher and get a good job. Let me tell you, the language that catches my attention is English, so I want to learn it. I like sodas, especially Coca-Cola which is my favorite one. I enjoy playing football, which is the sport I like the most. I like Christmas time; my family and I share “tamales y ponche” (a typical dish and hot fruit punch) at Christmas Eve dinner. To celebrate my birthday, my parents buy a cake to eat together. I take this opportunity to give thanks for all the support I receive through Living Water; I am so blessed to have my meals and medical care. My family needs groceries, corn, and clothes. Although we are in need, we trust that our Lord is providing for us. This is all for now. May God bless you wherever you go!

Special greetings,

Juana Cristina Perez Aguilar
