Hello! thank you very much for taking time to read my personal information. I am Carmelina Garcia Garcia, and I am 17 years old. I dropped out of school some years ago because I did not want to continue. Since then, I help with the household work at home. Unfortunately, I could not attend the feeding program because of the pandemic restrictions. I missed the meals, but thank God, the program is open again. I walk 5 minutes to arrive to the program. My father earns a living by farming the land or as a day laborer to supply our home needs. My mother does the chores at home, and in addition, she raises and sells hens. Fortunately, we are in good health.
My family and I take time to meet up, talk about how we are, and share some snacks. We do not celebrate Christmas due to lack of money, and we do not have the custom to celebrate at church. We attend Assembly of God Church, and we live 20 minutes from there. I have the privilege to lead praises in the services. During the pandemic, we have services at church but closed doors. We live in our own property; we have a room and a separate kitchen. Those are made of adobe, tile roof and dirt floor. We have water and electricity services. For now, our house condition is good. During the pandemic, we went through very hard times due to the lack of work, and therefore, we did not have money to meet our needs. Thank God, we received the support of our church and Living Water, who blessed us with food parcels. We are so grateful for all the support toward my family. For now, our greatest needs as a family are groceries. In closing, let me tell you that the LW team called us and asked for this updated information, so my mother provided it to them over the phone. I send much love, and I hope to receive news from you soon. Every blessing for you!
