My Story

Hi! I greet you cordially and I wish you a blessed and brilliant day. I want to share with you a little about my family and me.  I am Elvia Esperanza Garcia Ajqui and I am 14 years old.  As a family, we continue attending the Christian Church every Saturday and Wednesday. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with my mother and for their encouraging words to her during the visit. Unfortunately, this year I did not study due to a lack of money, but I helped my mother with chores at home and I took care of my nephew. My dream is to become a makeup artist. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because our custom is to eat “tamales” (a typical dish). I like to drink Coca-Cola.  What I like to do for my birthday is to thank God by praying. In this opportunity, I want to ask your prayers for my parents' health because my mother suffers from foot pain.  My father suffers from body pain, and now he is bedridden because he suffers from foot cramps and headaches.  Unfortunately, both of them have not visited the doctor due to a lack of financial resources, and they are not taking medicines.  Thank God, the rest of my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Maria Ajqui. She is 55 years old. Nowadays, she continues doing chores at home and taking care of the family. In addition, she raises hens and turkeys to sell and gets some income. My father`s name is Jesus Garcia. He is 76 years old. Currently, he is not working due to his health problems and his older age. Thankfully, my older brother works as a farmer and day laborer, and sometimes, he contributes a little economically to our home expenses, but we are living in a hard economic situation.  Please pray for us. Moreover, we grow corn for our family`s consumption.  As a needy and humble family, our current needs are corn, groceries, clothes, and medicines for my parents. We are very grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive every year`s end through LW.  I hope you enjoy reading my letter. May God bless you richly!

Lots of love,

Elvia Esperanza Garcia Ajqui
