My Story

Hello! My name is Flori Haxhillari. I am 18 years old and my birthday is on January 13^th. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite colors are red and yellow. My future dream is to become a teacher. I am very skilled at technical drawings, since I have always loved to be a mechanic and fix cars or electric units. I like to spend a few hours together with my friends during the midday. We usually play football but we choose to walk and chat with one another. Times with friends are always enjoyable and I love to spend time with my friends constantly. We get very busy working because we deal with agriculture in the village. For this reason, I am offering myself to work alongside my parents in the fields and I also help my father when he goes to the mountain to collect wood we use for fire in our house. I live in Dunica, Upper Mokra and my family is contained from four persons who are my father, mother, my brother and I. My brother frequents school in the village and is also in the program. My father and mother are constantly planting products that we consume in our family. We keep a donkey and my father takes it to collect wood for fire in the mountain. From time to time, he is selling a few cube meters of wood to people and gains a bit income that he uses to cover our needs. We have also several chickens so that we can gain eggs for consumption. My mother recently planted the vegetable garden that we have in front of our house and she provides for us vegetables. We live with very low income and face poverty. What we profit by planting in our land is very less and we are challenged. I am very thankful to the program for the help in food packages that my brother and I recieve. We both frequent the Bible classes of the program every week and we are happy to join these activities that are the only activities for children in the village. God bless you for your generosity!
