I send warm greetings to you with much love and I hope you are doing great. My name is Elena Maricela. I am 11 years old and I live with my family. I attend 2nd grade and I receive face-to-face classes on Monday and Thursday from 08:00 to 10:30 AM. I give my homework to my teacher when I go to school. Fortunately, my teacher gives me a good explanation of the lessons, so I am moving forward in my studies. My father strives to support our family; he works as a day laborer. Moreover, he travels to pick coffee beans on the coast. In addition, he cleans and fertilizes the coffee plants after the harvest. My mother is a housewife and watches over my siblings and me.
Let me tell you that the covid-19 pandemic came to affect our family´s economy. Fortunately, we received support from my siblings´ school and the feeding program. Thanks to God´s faithfulness, we have received support from our church which has encouraged us to continue trusting in our Lord who has never left us alone. We give thanks to Living Water / Adopt A Child who have been blessing us with grocery bags which helped us a lot. It was an unexpected gift that we received, and my siblings and I enjoyed everything that my mother prepared for us. Thank you very much for all the support that you are giving us through LW. We cannot pay you back, but we pray that our Lord blesses you greatly. Thank God, my family and I are healthy and nobody has been infected with covid-19 so far. We attend Prince of Peace Church on Wednesday for one hour and a half. I want to let you know that an evangelism teacher of LW called my mother, Maria De La Cruz by phone to get this updated information since the feeding program is still closed due to the pandemic. I hope you continue taking care of your health from this dangerous virus. Many and rich blessings!
Kisses and hugs,
Elena Maricela Gomez De La Cruz
