It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to greet you from Guatemala. I am Josselin Marleny Simaj Barrera, and I am now 11 years old. This year has been so different than before. I am in third grade. However, most of the time I study at home due to the pandemic. I attend school to receive classes on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. One of these days, I leave my homework for my teacher. I want to tell you a little of my family. As you know, I do not live with my father because he left us many years ago. My mother continues making an effort to provide for my siblings and me. She sometimes works as a farmer with our neighbors. We were affected when the pandemic arrived since my mother is the only one who works at home, and we do not have any relatives near us. Thank God, we go ahead with the groceries that Living Water provided for our family. It was a great blessing because it helped us to cope with the sorrows that we go through. The Lord in his infinite mercy has taken care of our family, and thanks to it, none of our loved ones have caught the virus. My family are members of the Catholic Church, and we take the time to attend a mass on Mondays. I want to tell you that my mother provided this information by phone because LW staff cannot meet with families following the government regulations. Thank you so much for supporting our family especially during this hard time that we are living in. May God reward you in a big way.
