Hello! My name is Marcos Byron Gutierrez Simaj and I am so happy to greet you by means of this letter. I am 12 years old and this year, I am enrolled in fifth grade. At the moment, I receive classes face to face for a couple of hours on Mondays and Tuesdays. When I go to school, I hand in homework too. Though this study method is comfortable, it has been difficult for me because I do not learn enough. My father works as a day laborer while my mom works hard preparing our meals. My whole family and I used to work at the coast picking coffee beans every end of the year. However, the current world situation affected us since we could not travel. In order to survive, we worked as day laborers in our community, but we did not have enough money so, we had to ask for loans.
Despite the circumstances, God has been faithful with us because He has provided us with health, work and food. In addition, Living Water gave us grocery bags which helped us a lot to subsist. So, I am very grateful to you for bringing us your loving support. Fortunately, all of us are in good health. My family and I are members of Life Christian Church and we usually go for three hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Finally, let me tell you that my older brother Wilmer Gutierrez assisted a member of the Evangelism team to update this information about me by phone, since the staff want to protect us from the current pandemic. I leave you for now, but I would like to hear about you soon.
With much love,
Marcos Byron Gutierrez Simaj
