My Story

Hello! This is your sponsored child, Brandon Isaac Mejia Ordonez. I hope you and your loved ones are doing well. I want to share that the mayor and his staff organize nice Christmas activities for everybody no matter if they live in the city or not. The activity that impacted me the most was skating in the ice rink for the first time. I had a lot of fun! Undoubtedly, God took care of me while I enjoyed the activity. I am a healthy 12-year-old boy. I believe that Jesus is my Heavenly Father and Savior. I am in sixth grade this year. I identify with my mom because she has taught me to be brave like her. Please, pray for my mom. My grandmother’s death has been a tremendous blow to her. My grandmother passed away last year. As you know, my mom suffers from diabetes. Fortunately, she is under treatment and attends a public clinic for checkups.

My mom sells homemade food and hygiene products on the street to support our family economically. However, she sometimes does not earn much money to buy food, which frustrates her. I am grateful to brother Juan Carlos, who is a member of the LW staff, for praying and encouraging my mom. She felt comforted after praying and listening to the gospel. We do not attend any church at the moment, but I hope we can do it soon. My mom and I took advantage of the opportunity to share all this information just for you. To end this letter, I want you to know that my best friend’s name is Jacob. I met him at school about two years ago. We like discussing homework and playing soccer when we are together.
