My Story

PENDING PHOTO 2024

In this opportunity, I want to greet you and hope you are blessed. I want to share some news about my family and me through this. I am Yoselin Maricela Mejia Gonzalez and I am 14 years old. I am a healthy girl. Sadly, this year I am not studying, but I help with chores at home. In my free time, I like to play with my siblings and color drawings. I enjoy attending the Duenas Feeding Program because I like to eat delicious meals and Chinese food such as “chowmein” that they serve. I want to let you know that I enjoyed the special activities and receiving my gift during the Christmas celebration at the Feeding Center in December. My family is grateful for every benefit that I have received.

My mother`s name is Maria Gonzalez Xorxe. She suffers from pre-diabetes. She has not accepted Jesus in her heart. As you know she abandoned us some years ago, but sometimes supports us economically. She works doing cleaning.  My father`s name is Juan Estuardo Mejia Quexel. He continues living and working in the United States. At the moment, he works as a waiter and he supports us financially. He has not accepted Jesus in his heart. I want to let you know that we are living alone since about 5 months ago. We are not living in my aunt`s house because her house is small and we need our own space.  We all slept together with all my cousins in one room, but now we are living only with my older brother Yoni who takes care of us. He is 19 years old. He does not work. He does chores at home. My aunt Rosa spoke with my father and we found another house to be more comfortable. My father sends money to pay the monthly rent of the house. We are in my aunt's house only in the afternoons. Currently, we continue attending the Liberty Church from LW and I have not accepted Jesus in my heart. The LW team encouraged us to continue attending the Church and we are grateful to them. May God bless you greatly!

Huge hugs,

Yoselin Maricela Mejia Gonzalez
