My Story

Hello! My name is Carolina, and it is a privilege to greet you through this letter. I want you to know I attend the Prince of Peace Church. My family and I usually attend our services on Mondays and Saturdays. I trust Jesus is my savior. My father, Ernesto Ajqui, is 50 years old. He is healthy and makes a living in the field to support our family. Besides that, he grows corn and beans for our consumption. My mother also helps him to cover the expenses with her income. Her name is Ana Maria Tzoy, and she is 48 years old. She raises hens, pigs, and turkeys to sell. I want to use this moment to ask for your prayers for my mother since she suffers from gastritis. She does not take medicine because of our low resources. Nowadays, our priorities are medicines and groceries, especially corn. I turned nineteen years old in February. When someone in my family has their birthday, my mother prepares a delicious lunch to celebrate. Nowadays, I help my mother to do the household chores. As you know, I did not want to continue studying some years ago. However, I would like to have the opportunity of doing it again because I would love to become a teacher. In addition, I would like to learn how to speak English. My favorite holiday is Christmas. My family and I usually prepare tasty tamales to celebrate that time. I like drinking orange juice, and my favorite sport is soccer. I have a lovely dog. I hope to tell you more about her soon.  Thank you so much for reading my news! I say goodbye to you for now, but before go, I want you to know that LW is crucial to me because of all the support and blessing that I have received. A teacher of the evangelism team spoke with me to let you know about my last news. He also encouraged me to strengthen my faith and go ahead. See you later!

With much love,

Carolina Ajqui Tzoy
