I am glad to have the opportunity to write you. My name is Rolando Simaj Morente, and I am now 17 years old. In Guatemala many things have changed. Although we know that everything must continue, the world does not stop, and we should adapt to the new way of living. Currently, I help with the field work or doing some errands for my mother. As you know, my father passed away a few years ago. My mother makes an effort to provide for us by raising domestic animals. In addition, she spends time taking care of us and our home. At the beginning of the pandemic, we were affected because the groceries were very expensive, and we do not have enough money to buy them. We were able to see God´s faithfulness because we had the necessities to cover our needs. We received a grocery bag though the feeding program which was a blessing for us, and we were able to save a little money. My family and I are healthy and thankful to God because He has taken care of us during this time. We have the privilege to be part of a church called “Resurección”, and we take time to attend the service on Mondays. Thank God, none of our family has been affected with the covid-19 virus so far. I want to tell you that my older sister, Manuela provided this information by phone because the evangelism teachers should avoid contact with the families due to the virus. I pray that you and your family are keeping safe. My family is so grateful for the provision that we have received which has been a blessing for all the families. God bless your noble heart and protect you.
